Silvia should definitely take the win. I mean if there were no restrictions on how many videos could come from one PB user there would probably have been another 3 videos from them in this competition.
He was 16 then too
Sarah Burkes family WAS left with a giant hospital bill but thanks to the hundreds of people who donated they ended up with more money than the actual hospital fees and are starting up a foundation in her name. We need to do the same thing for Greg, if his sponsors can only cover half of his bill then rather than complaining we should buy a T-shirt or participate in the auction the same way we did for the "I ride for Nicks eyes"
Also, don't forget where the scrub came from.
I think that the addition of motors to pinkbike should be welcomed. I'm not saying that they should have moto videos every week but it's nice to see them once in a while especially when you look at what MX has given to mountain biking. Gwinn crossed over from MX to MTB just a handful of years ago and now he is the world cup champion. Half of the pros use motos for training, lots of our suspension technology comes from dirt bikes and above all else it's fun to watch.
If you don't like watching the MX videos don't click on that article. It's pretty simple.
I have to agree with conv3rt, I personally would never want to sue someone for an injury I essentially inflicted on myself. That being said, when I was underage and my parents could legally act on my behalf I'm not sure they would feel the same way. I would not want to have a bunch or random people hanging out on my property when if someone gets hurt I am liable.
I'm not sure if this affects this but the movie was entirely shot in BC and all of the riders are Canadian so it is kind of a Canadian bike film. Not sure if that has anything to do with where it premieres first but it's a thought.
@kfennell8 The jump they built was on the lift line of an old tow rope ski lift. The ski hill had already completely reshaped that piece of the mountain in previous years so what the coastal crew did didn't affect anything natural. They merely reshaped what had already been affected by humans.
elcripple,
I know spine injuries will not always heal but I don't believe that a spine pad really eliminates the risk. I used to wear a dainese spine pad and eventually stopped wearing it because if you wrapped your back around a tree, regardless of the pad you will most likely still end up breaking your back. They fold in half and although it may redistribute the impact a little bit I don't believe it can eliminate it. Just like how a leatt brace will not protect you from a compression fracture but is intended to stop your head from moving too far in any direction.
jcinkits,
I used to have a chest protector but it was made out of a soft foam, I am not sure what kind of chest protector you think would have helped your injury but I assure you the typical foam with a thin layer of plastic would not have been enough to change anything. Just a thought
Agree with z-man. Helmet and neckbrace. Anything else will heal.
